The vertical fire pump consists of a motor and a pump. The pump and the motor are coaxial. The pump structure includes a pump body, an impeller, a pump cover, a mechanical seal and other components. The inlet and outlet of the pump are on the same horizontal axis, and the diameter and specification are the same, which is convenient for loading and unloading, and occupies a small area. The pump is provided with a mounting base, which is easy to install and increases the stability of the pump operation. The pump seal adopts mechanical seal, which has the characteristics of reliable sealing and no leakage. The axial force of the pump is balanced by the impeller with a balance ring. The inlet and outlet flanges of the pump are designed according to the pressure of 1.6MPa, and the pipeline is convenient to match.
1. The flow and pressure of the fire pump should be calculated and determined according to the requirements of the building (or factory area, residential area), storage yard, storage tank, etc. for the fire water volume and water pressure. The fire pump should meet the water pressure and flow requirements of fire water. The flow rate and lift of the water pump shall not be lower than the design requirements, and shall not be lower than the given value of the performance curve.
2. The inspection of structural requirements, corrosion resistance, mechanical properties, continuous operation and other properties shall meet the requirements of GB6245-2006 standard.
3. The pumps used in the pump set shall be subject to type identification and type inspection and comply with relevant standards. The prime movers selected should be identified and conformed to relevant standards. The engine should have good normal temperature starting performance, and should ensure a smooth start within 5s. The fire pump should be able to reach the rated working condition within 20s after the water is introduced.
4. The water pump impeller rotates flexibly without jamming.
5. The fire water pump of the temporary high-pressure fire water supply system should use one backup and one use, or use more than one backup. The working capacity of the standby fire pump shall not be less than that of one of the fire fighting pumps. When using more than one backup, the influence on the system flow and pressure when multiple fire pumps work in parallel should be considered.
6. When selecting a fire pump, its flow-pressure characteristic curve should be flat without hump. When conditions permit, the tangential pump or the pump unit integrated with the pump valve (pressure reducing and regulating valve) can be used.
7. The designer should select and determine the type of fire pump according to the location and area of the fire pump room in the project and the specific conditions of the fire water supply system.
